Three Pittsburgh Officers Killed And Guess Who Is To Blame?

Yesterday police officers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania were answering a domestic disturbance call and the aftermath was that three officers were shot to death and a forth critically wounded.
The suspect was arrested eventually by police.
The gunman was identified as 23 year-old Richard Andrew Poplawski.
But, it gets better.
Mr. Poplawski apparently was taken in by wild conspiracy theories beyond the usual anti-Obama hyperbole. No, no, no. This fellow was taken in by the baddest, mother f---er conspiracy theorist of all. One Alex Jones.
And because of Mr. Poplawski's being sucked into the Alex Jone's spin cycle, the rather sane people over at the Daily Kos think this is really how all "right-wingers" really think.
First, let me be clear as a glass.
Alex Jones is in no way a conservative. He is so far out that he falls into that rare but true category. Of being so far out that he is in bed with those on the far out left. They are but two peas in a pod. I link Mr. Jones website because it is rantings of those on both extremes that believe the terrorist attacks on the United States on 9/11/01 were a plot by the United States government. And remember, to every plot there is a puppet-master in these whack jobs "minds"-the Jooooossss, of course. It is only because of the First Amendment to the United States constitution that people like Mr. Jones have the right to spew their total hate.
As far as the Kossacs are concerned, they are imbeciles to assert what they did.
To take their stupidity to the next level, I suppose that Lovelle Mixon was just some "right-wing" nut job doing his patriotic duty, right? I mean, did he not take four police officers out in Oakland, California but not less than one month ago?
Please!
What the Kossacs where shooting off on twitter.com showed that they are stupid, immature dolts. Oh, and they are the face of the Democrat party. Let us not forget that all the Democrat presidential candidates fell over themselves to be a part of the Kossacs annual meeting in Las Vegas.
What is to blame is a creep that had a problem that goes beyond his own wild-eyed conspiracy theories. Read the article linked at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. This is a whack job that had a problem with any kind of authority figure. Period. End of story.
What this fellow needs is to be tried, convicted and executed. No kind of lack of mental capacity defense of any kind. What Mr. Poplawski did was premeditated and in cold blood. And he should be punished for that act and that act alone.
As much as I would love to blame Alex Jones and or the Daily Kos, I can not. And no one else should look for scapegoats. The suspect, Mr. Poplawski, is in custody and that is who I will blame. And hopefully, a jury of his peers will as well.

I was waiting to see what kind of spin you'd put on this.

The idea of "so far right as to be left" and "two peas in a pod" is an interesting way to turn yourself into a pretzel. I suppose I'll see/hear more of this theme, now that the marching orders have been issued.

I doubt many others will see it that way, though. Cruise any g-list wingnut site, you know, the usual suspects, and there have been no shortage of posts from people who claim to be stocking up on ammo.

Even our own favorite bored Houston housewife recently spent time telling everybody about her brand spanking new gun, including several photos.

And there was no shortage of advice and praise from her tumescent readers.

That's just one of many available examples.

No, my friend. In the words of Malcom X, this is chickens coming home to roost. The online ruminations of a through g-list wingnuts (most of whom are indeed completely wacked-out), and the on-air provocations of the usual gasbags (Rush, Beck, Hannity, et al) are starting to yield rotten fruit.

And here you are, complaining about the smell.

Really, I don't know what else you could have expected.

BTW, since I know you're all about accuracy: the Democratic presidential candidates participated in a debate/QA forum at YearlyKos when it was held in Chicago in 2007. The often useless Matt Bai moderated with the always sharp Joan McCarter.

The Las Vegas event was the previous year. Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Joe Wilson, and others spoke. Mark Warner threw an awesome party.

And not every candidate came to Chicago. Joe Biden declined the invitation.

Glad I could clear that up.

You're right: Poplawski is the sole owner of this outrageous act. Plenty of people listen to conspiracy theorists, but they don't murder police officers because of it. This is all on him, period. However, it will be interesting to see what his defense is in court. His attorney's will be all over the blame-the-conspiracy-theorist thing. It's right up there with the Twinkie defense.

Aww, c'mon, Obama won (I know this because he told us so). Everything bad that happens from here on out is the fault of non-liberals of any and every stripe.

Blame the perp? Never. Personal responsibility isn't in the liberal repertoire.

Have they blamed in on a difficult childhood yet? Or does the 'right-wing' label make that unnecessary?
