The Left Really Believes Obama Is Their Reagan

I have been really thinking about this throughout the death march of this election season and it has occurred to me that the left has so manufactured their candidate, Sen. Messiah Barack Hussein Obama, they really believe that they have finally gotten their Ronald Reagan.
What it shows is that the left does not realize that former president Reagan was not manufactured but the real deal. They really, truly believe that Mr. Reagan was some Hollywood creation. That he had no ideas of his own. That he just simply read a script. And yet, remember this is the left and they do not realize what damage they are doing, they have channelled that into Sen. Messiah Barack.
Sen. Messiah Barack has written not one, but two tomes to his self-discovery. And he used those tomes to win a state senate seat in Illinois and a senate seat to Washington. And, do not forget that he also used a speech to the Democrat National Convention in 2004 to puff his credentials up. However, what are his credentials? What does he really believe in? And as an elected senator, what can he say he has done to effect what he believes in?
Here is a bit about Mr. Reagan.
Long before he became governor of California, he was the multi-elected president of the Screen Actors Guild labor union. It was there that Mr. Reagan saw the widespread communist influence. It made him rethink what he believed in and led to his political transformation from New Deal Democrat to conservative Republican.
When Mr. Reagan ran for governor of California in 1966, he was dismissed as a washed-up B-movie actor. Mr. Reagan smiled and just kept plugging along, explaining his vision to anyone who would listen. And he won that election in a landslide and a second term in 1970.
In 1976, Mr. Reagan gave a serious challenge to a sitting president in Gerald Ford. And, he almost won the GOP nomination. But, alas, he lost that nomination. While plotting for 1980, he went to doing radio commentaries, which we know were almost all written by Mr. Reagan himself.
After the win in 1980, the rest in history.
So, what has Sen. Messiah Barack really done and what does he really think?
Sure, he has boasted about being a "community organizer" and yet never quite explained what that really is. And he has talked about working as an attorney in a civil rights law firm.
But again, does Sen. Messiah Barack really have an ideology or is he just a shallow, Hollywood production?
At some level, the latter is true.
Look at what happens when Sen. Messiah Barack is off the teleprompter. He stutters and stammers and tries to change the subject. When the occasional reporter does ask a tough question, he tries to change the subject.
At the end of the day, the left thinks that Mr. Reagan just read a script and flash cards. That he was just a front man for the conservative movement. And, that is what they think that they found in Sen. Messiah Barack.
Why do you think that his handlers do not want to have those Town Halls with the Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain? Because Sen. Messiah Barack would have to answer questions. And, if he is the empty suit that the left believes Mr. Reagan was, well then he can not really answer tough questions.
The left really believes that all Mr. Reagan did was a lot of stagecraft. Why do you think that they set up the lofty columns and had Sen. Messiah Barack deliver his acceptance speech at a football stadium? Because they really believe that the conservative "handlers" did that with Mr. Reagan.
The sad truth is that the American left has had and does not have any respect for Mr. Reagan. They still think that he was an empty suit reading off a teleprompter and not having a thought of his own.
And, the American left latched on to a smooth-talker in Sen. Messiah Barack and have tried this cynicism from their perspective.
The American people are beginning to see through it and with the grand-slam speech by Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and with another maverick in Sen. John "F--- You" McCain, they are going to be surprised that authentic people beat an empty suit anytime.

Liberals are so desperate that they will pick up their banners and follow anyone they think will get them the power back. The White House is the goal and the backs of the Americans are the steps to get there. They don't care who they step on to get the power. The fact is that most liberals don't know how to handle power, they get twisted by it and corruption seems to follow. I want to see a person who loves this country in the White House. This is going to be a very interesting election.

Yikes.

I thought I'd gotten used to your writing, and that I'd figured out how to make some sense of your rambling, incoherent style.

But this one has me stumped. What are you trying to say?

Ronald Reagan was a disaster. I certainly am not looking for Barack Obama to be another Ronald Reagan.

That's the last thing I'd ever want to see.

Mr. Snarkle, I am not surprised you do not get it. Your crowd just thought that Mr. Reagan was a front man. And all they need to get is a good front man. They think that they have it in Sen. Messiah Barack. All they think they need is one who gets a good speech. It is how little they really think of the American people

Good job righty, dems have painted Bush the same way...only not nearly as articulate as Reagan. Cheney is running the show. Yes we republicans are run by behind the scene robots with remote controls. Sounds like Mr. teleprompter to me. :)N

Reagan was a becan of hope; of American greatness. Reagan was optomistic about the future of this nation. Reagan created an America free from the burdens of government, and created an environment where everybody saw their incomes rise, charities rose to record levels, unemployment was low and inflation was low too. So, how could anyone say, "Ronald Reagan was a disaster."

Great post. RR was the most popular president in the past 50 years, and for good reason. Mr. Obama, you are no RR.

I'm afraid "wolf in sheep's clothing" is a more apt comparison than "empty suit."

Obama HAS an agenda, he just can't state it openly, hence one verbal gaffe after another.
