From The Do As I Say, Not As I Do File

WOW! It appears that our esteemed Speaker of the House, congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal) believes in legislating "ethical" standards on everyone else in her House. But not for herself.
If this article in the Washington Times is correct, it appears that the woman who torpedoed the Wall Street Bailout/Rescue bill just yesterday, thinks that it is A-OK to pay her husband "rent", "utilities" and "accounting fess" for services "rendered".
Amazingly, Mrs. Pelosi was feverishly leading the charge against the disgraced and imprisoned lobbyist, Jack Abramoff. Oh, one of the charges that Mrs. Pelosi leveled against the then Republican majority was the very same practice.
Question.
Will the Republicans use this in the current general election campaign? Along with the financial services meltdown a direct result of the "oversight" of congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass) and Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-Conn)? One only hopes so.
So, to follow the Speaker. Do As I Say. But, Do NOT Do As I Do!

The World of blogging is the only way these truths come to the surface. Blogers may change the course of the election. Pelosi has led a double standard from Massachusetts to San Francisco. Her interest are her own and is enjoying her feeling of power right now. When you ask yourself how did a person like that get such a high ranking job? The daughter of Italian immigrants you can answer that for yourself. Money has changed hands in the right circles. She is just trying to get her money back by taking it from her PAC fund. Her book sale went pretty bad. I think she bought most of the 2,000 sold. A lot of people like what she is doing, but they don't read. We'll see how this all plays out this November.

I dunno, dude. You're really starting to reach for stuff here.

Pelosi torpedoed the big bailout bill in the house, you say? How, exactly - with a speech? What, did she hurt somebody's feelings or something?

And they responded by voting against a bill they had agreed to support?

Ugh. Like nasty little children, they are.
