Don't Forget The Animals In Hurricane Gustav's Path

In wake of the impending Hurricane Gustav making landfall sometime later today, I write this to all who read this to not forget the animals that may be left behind in the wake of the hurricane.
We humans should know what to do to prepare for these kind of disasters. But, our pets do not.
The pet owners of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama will need all of our help.
The great news is that it appears that evacuations are taking into account people's pets and they are being allowed to go with their owners to evacuation centers. A very positive step indeed.
There were a great deal of errors made during Hurricane Katrina a mere three years ago. Not letting many people take their animals, in many cases the only family that these people had, was one of the reasons many stayed behind. To protect their member of the family.
Thankfully, one of those errors has been rectified.
Now, we all should pray for all in the affected areas and that includes people's animals.
